Finally! After playing the final of the DHB Cup five consecutive years, the SG Flensburg Handewitt now won the long-awaited trophy. 13 300 spectators witnessed the handball show in the O2 Arena in Hamburg, which developed into a real drama.

At first the SG played a very even and tough semifinal against RN Löwen, and on Sunday the hair-raising final with game extension and shootout against SC Magdeburg. Eventually a rescue by keeper Kevin Möller became the decisive action that gave SG victory and a euphoric end to a unforgettable handball weekend.
